Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the UniExchange mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UniExchange ("we," "our," or "us"). Please read them carefully.
Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be:
- At least 18 years old
- Currently enrolled as a student at a supported university
- Able to form a binding contract with UniExchange
- Not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Use your university email address for verification
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately.
User Content
The Service allows you to post, upload, and share content, including text, photos, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
- Your User Content does not infringe on the rights of any third party
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason, without prior notice.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Posting or selling prohibited items (including but not limited to weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol, counterfeit goods, stolen property)
- Impersonating any person or entity or falsely stating your affiliation
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
- Posting false, misleading, or deceptive listings
- Circumventing or manipulating our fee structure, billing process, or fees
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Using the Service to collect or harvest user data
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Introducing viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the Service
Transactions
UniExchange is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not:
- Take possession of items listed for sale
- Transfer legal ownership of items
- Process payments between users
- Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items
- Guarantee that a transaction will be completed
All transactions are conducted directly between buyers and sellers. You are responsible for:
- Verifying the identity of the other party
- Meeting in safe, public locations for exchanges
- Inspecting items before purchase
- Ensuring payments are legitimate and secure
We strongly recommend that you exercise caution and good judgment when conducting transactions.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:
- THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS
- THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
- THE RESULTS FROM USING THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE
- THE QUALITY OF PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL PURCHASED OR OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL UNIEXCHANGE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE
- ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE
- ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE
- UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THE SERVICE.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to request account deletion.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
